The railway is headquartered in Dereham and runs south to Wymondham Abbey Halt station. Restoration work is also underway north of Dereham, extending towards North Elmham and County School stations. The Mid-Norfolk Railway is owned and operated by the registered charity, the Mid-Norfolk Railway Preservation Trust. The Trust is owned by the railway’s members, many of whom volunteer their time and skills to help maintain and run the railway.
